Creativity & Genre

Creativity is extremely important when embarking upon a new endeavor in a field ripe with choices. Creativity is what helps you stand out and decide what path you want to go on. In the Theory of Creativity Ted Talk the speaker talked about always having a notepad with you to write down ideas you come up with. I can resonate with this because sometimes late at night I will think of ideas that I believe to be particularly good and will type them on my phone to remember later. To add on, in the Introduction activity I really had to think and get a lot more creative then any old assignment at school. When I made a correlation between the app Among Us and my desire to problem solve and be a detective of sort it made me realize just how creative I could get when describing myself. This ties in with the portfolio project and magazine because I will have to really expand my creativity if I want to be able write fascinating articles that people will be interested by in this day and age. To Team or Not to Team

I arrived at my decision to work independently on my portfolio this year for AICE Media Studies  by  taking  all  the research and  articles we read  into account , but also by analyzing the people in my class .  In the article,  “ Team building and group dynamics: creating and fostering a culture of teamwork requires trust, collaboration, and accountability.” it says that  the team of employees needed to trust each other; they also needed to hear and respect what each employee said .” Th is shows why I would rather work by myself. I do not  trust anyone  in our class  and have much more trust in myself to get this project done on time .  In the article titled  “Songwriting loafing or creative  collaboration?:  A comparison of individual and team written billboard hits in the USA.” it talks about how  the same percentage o f songs on Billboard  are wri...

Decision Day

Both are not as simple as previous applications I have used such as PowerPoint or Word and I will most certainly need som e more practice using  them, hopefully in class,  before I begin my portfolio project.  InDesign seems a little closer to home with  more Word like features that I’m much more familiar with. Premier Pro, on the other han d , is completely foreign to me.  I have never used anything close to it and I know that if I were to try and learn it , it would take an extremely long time to be able to do the basics on it, which is not what we are shooting for.   InDesign  is something I am accustomed to.  Its format is reminiscent of  Word  which is something I am comfortable with. From the time we had in ...
